"Just thought I'd drop a note of my experience with Blue Devil Head Gasket Sealer, the yellow label. I know it says that it's not recommended for the North Star motor but I had to give it a shot. I think the bottle states that because the North Star usually has head bolt issues and a sealant may be a tough fix. Anyway, I had a shop do the treatment (they weren't thrilled about it, but the they did it) and made sure that they followed the instructions explicitly. It worked! More than a 1,000 miles later it is still holding. That and consider I live in Phx, AZ so may average outside temp for the last 1,000 miles has been over 100 degrees and I'm pretty impressed!! I don't think I got lucky, I think conditions were just right. My leak was very slight, we followed the instructions and the circumstances were right. Thanks, great stuff. Gino Niccoli"

"I followed the instructions for the head gasket sealant and it worked ($60.00). I previously changed the head gasket and water pump, and other relative gaskets needed, dropped the oil pan and checked the seals on the piston sleeves. No sign anywhere of a crack or leak so I figured it must have been the head gasket leaking water into the oil somehow. Well, even after all this effort I gained almost ½ a quart of water in the oil in about 10 minutes of running the tractor up and down hill. (1954 Farmall 230) So I tried this stuff I have run it with a 5’ bush hog at ¾ throttle for over 2 hours and the engine oil is clear. "

" I just wanted to email you and let you know that the Blue Devil product is moving well. I am having good success in introducing it into the shops I call on. I have learned a lot after talking to my customers about "real world problems" they face in the shops. I have encountered every other type of competitive product out there you can imagine, and even though that may seem initially as a detriment, it is actually a positive because it means this customer is prone to using a product such as ours. I listen to my customer tell me how the competitive product works and then I ask some some follow up questions, such as : Is this product you are using a "permanent repair" ? or are you afraid that a product with solids in it might plug up a radiator or heater core ? I then ask them if there ever was a repair that they were not able to fix using the product they have. After all of this then I talk a little about our Blue Devil product and relate "real world fixes" that other customers who have already used Blue Devil have told me worked. I tell them that a shop I called on used Blue Devil to repair a leaky intake manifold on a 5.3L GM product in the passenger side back corner. Another shop told me that after a Chrysler product came in for a routine coolant flush, a leak developed while in his care from a freeze plug located between the engine and transmission. He did not want to tear half the car apart to fix the freeze plug, and not get paid for it. He instead decided to try our Blue Devil and sure enough after following the directions on the label it worked perfectly, and saved him from a time consuming repair. The best on of all though was a customer who had a 1998 Buick with a head gasket leak between cylinder #1 and #2, that was so bad the engine was hydraulically locked up. He removed the spark plug in cylinder #2 and pumped the coolant out of it. Then he drained down the radiator and pulled the thermostat. The reason he drained the radiator almost all the way down before starting the engine was because the leak was so bad in cylinder #2, that this was the only way he could get the engine running without hydraulically locking it up. He then ( with great skepticism I might add ) used the Blue Devil product as per label instructions. After 50 minutes of run time he shut it down, and reinstalled the thermostat. He then let the entire thing cool down overnight. The next morning they pressure tested the leak, and it was holding pressure. He could not believe it, and was extremely pleased with the results. Not that this was a hard car to do a head gasket job on, but the customer who owned the car was not going to repair the car the mechanical way. I must say that telling these success stories over and over to potential customers has provided the push necessary for them to say yes to my sales offer. You must get comfortable with the proven results, and learn the competition. I never knock the competition in any way. I only tell my customer about how my product is a superior grade permanent repair, and one they can trust and count on by relating true real world testimonials that I have learned along the way.
